Intermittent Fasting Link Response
I just wanted to clear up a few things about the Intermittent Fasting Youtube Link that was posted along with 29 other Fitness Channels. Intermittent fasting is not a starvation diet. In fact, most people do a form of it every single day when they stop eating at night, sleep and then wake to eat breakfast (Break Fast). Now, admittedly I have not done a lot of research on it, but I have read into it some and have come to understand that Intermittent Fasting is simply having a window of time each day that is optimal for eating. For women it is said to be about a 10-14 hour window in which you eat whole and healthy foods (fruits, veggies, lean meats, whole grains etc.) while for men the window is a bit shorter, about 8-12 hours. For a much better explanation of what Intermittent Fasting is and it’s scientific support you can read here and here. Like many ways of eating, It won’t be for everyone but I do believe there is useful knowledge to be gained about such a program, specifically how to be in tune with our bodies processes and determining which ways of eating are best for each individual being.
The website link on the Youtube Channel in question is very vague and I also would not recommend spending money on anything there. My aim as a contributor to Feminist Fitness is to provide information that is honest and informative. It is never my intention to harm or provide false information. So if you feel that specific link has no place on Feminist Fitness, I have no issues with it’s removal and I apologize to anyone who is offended or affected by its inclusion. I appreciate the concern of our readers and welcome any question or criticism of anything I suggest as a posting here.
