Interval training is really important to help your heart work even harder. You push your heart rate to its limits, let it recover, and then do it all over again. My favourite interval training tip:
Use little targets for yourself to interval train!
For example:
-I’m going to sprint like a maniac until I reach the next lightpost.
-I’m going to sprint until I see the next red car.
-I’m going to increase the incline on the treadmill and power walk up a hill for 1 minute, then decrease.
You are able to then get the full effect of an intense interval training session without having to rely on a HRM for help! Easy!
